Looks great.  Will the updated gesture controls also be ported to the Spark?

Enhanced WiFi? For Mavic? No ocusync?  

After spending well over a year (November ‘16) and more than 275 flights with my Mavic Pro the Mavic Air will allow me to expand my boundaries. I took my Mavic Pro to several Canadian provinces and NorthEast US states, but the Air will come with me on long distance vacations - YEAH!

Love the look of the new Mavic Air.  Its on combination of the Spark and Mavic Pro bundled into it.  Can't wait to see it and who knows i might have to get one.

I would like to know:

1. Does Mavic Air support OTG?
2. Will RC be able to connect to android phone in Europe at 5.8GHz (legal european wifi channels) leaving 2.4 GHz range for link from RC to AC?
3. What's the battery attachment system?

Wondering what new collision avoidance tech will they be using on it as those images on the launch video are amazing !!

I think the Mavic Air is a great addition to the DJI family and will definitely be the next step for Spark owners. FlightAutonomy 2.0 looks very impressive.

And the flymore combo at £949 looks very tempting now

The Mavic Air is a beautifully designed, and feature packed aircraft.  It’s obvious that DJI listen, and put into practice ideas put forward by the forum members.  I can see these flying off the shelves.
Is 10 months too early for an early birthday present for myself.

DJI...Proving once again that they are pioneers in the field.

The specs of the Mavic Air are very close to those of the Mavic Pro, and would probably better suit someone looking at a Spark but feels its too low in functional performance to use for filming or photography. This new Mavic family member uses a 1/2.3-inch sensor that shoots 4K video at 24 or 30 frames per second, or 12-megapixel stills, with it's wide angle 24mm f2.8 lens.

It is fast and will travel at up to 42.5 miles per hour, and can operate in winds of up to 22 miles per hour, so maybe less of those "High Wind warning messages" that P4 users get, according to some it will have a 2.5 mile range assuming it has line of sight to the controller due to a new antenna design.  It's definitely targeted towards the more portable user needs who want to capture great filming potential.

This all sounds great, love to get my hands on one !!

I would also love to see the two new quick shots added to the Mavic Pro too in future FW releases.
