Me too, I have tried everything, all I have achieved is everything feeling very hot. It takes ages then makes a loud screeching noise, with the camera light stuck on green.

what's your firmware version in your P3 right know? If is not 1.3.20 then try to upgrade to 1.3.20 first then 1.4.0010 this is quote from DJI website "The All-in-One firmware v1.4.0010 does not include remote controller update package. However, for the best user experience, it is recommended that the users who are using the firmware that older than v1.3.20 to update the firmware to v1.3.20 before updating the aircraft."

Can you let me know if there are any LOG files created on the SD card when you try and update ( one on the root and one in a hidden folder called MISC/LOG ). If these files exist, can you post the contents?

HI kevin

The log shows that it is detecting firmware version P3X_FW_V01.03.0020.bin on the card and not P3X_FW_V01.04.0010.bin like it should be for the latest version.
Download this file download.dji-innovations.com/downloads/phantom_3/en/Phantom_3_Professional_Firmware_v1.4.0010_en.zip to your computer. Unzip it and copy the P3X_FW_V01.04.0010.bin file ONLY to the root of the SD card and try again ( make sure no other BIN files are on the card ).

I think where a lot of us non computer geeks like me mess up even though we read the instructions 10 times and try 10 times (me). I kept putting the bin folder on the SD card.  Finally tried opening bin folder and putting bin FiLE not folder. And success.  I could tell right away, it. Started making all kinds of noises and flashing   LOL. Think it even burped once.  Every thing working fine.
