Hello,

Today, I decided to go outdoor and try out my second Phantom 4 and make sure that everything is fine before I head filming in several areas in the country.

After downloading my short video which I filmed, I found that the picture or the video is shaking.

Do someone experienced this issue before? any idea why the picture is shaking?

It is the first flight outdoor. I had no such problem with my first one which I have crashed 10 days ago. The picture was awsome.

Any settings required maybe?

Thanks

Do you have a video clip you can post here for us to see? If you hover in front of yourself, just above head height, can you see the camera shaking?

Hi all and thank you for the help. I really appreciate it.

Well, I tried to post a part of the video here but didn't succeed for some reason. It's not going through.

I did post the part of the video on you tube then entering the link here under the camera tab but still not okay.

I pasted the link here if you can look it up. If you stair into the video, you will feel like there is an earthquake.

Thank you.

Guys do you think something is wrong with the SD card?

The SD card I am using with the new drone is 64 4K  which I have collected from the first crashed drone. Do you think something went wrong with the SD card over the severe crash?

Should I buy another SD card maybe?

The write speed is whats important on the card. But also after a crash the card could be bad, I have a 64GB - PNY (50MB/s write speed)

I don't see too much wrong with this video. There is some movement but that could be from manipulating your joysticks. Try and give us an image that is completely still maybe., without any manual movement of the camera. Also: was there any wind while shooting this ?

Do worry about the SD card, it has absolutely nothing to do with the issue. It would seems that the camera is shaking a little. Try flying the aircrtaft just in front of you, just above your head. Look at the camera, is is shaking? Touch the legs of the aircraft, is it vibrating much?

I see a definite jitter in the video...   It's not normal in any way.

As a quick guess, one or more of your props might be badly out of balance causing a shake.  Try replace your props with another set.

Also try a craft reset followed by an IMU and Gimbal calibration.

Other than that, you might have to get a repair ticket from DJI

If the card was damaged in the prior crash (the op said it was from his previous bird that crashed) it may not be writing the video at the proper speed. So yes, it could be the card. Not saying it is, just that would be the easiest to fix.

If it cannot write at the proper speed it will simply stop writing. An MPEG file cannot write frames at the wrong speed or drop frames.

Along with the suggestions in post #13, I would check the dampeners on your gimbal for any tears or if the anti drop pins are not secure.

Hi,

Thank you for your comment.

Wind speed while filming was 12 Km per hour.

I was just lifting slowly the drone with the left joystick. If you look at the tower of the church, you see it shaking like it is going to fall apart. Also, look at the surroundings above the church. The image is not right, shakes can be seen easily.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thx for the help in analyzing the problem.

The props are just new. (First flight), I just removed the plastic and fix them perfectly on the drone with 3 times check on the placement before I started. I didn't make any Gimbal calibration. Should I ?

Hi Micheal,

I tried the same SD card today on another P4 belongs to a friend and the video came out perfect.

So I realized that it is not the SD card.

Thx.

No dampeners or anti-drop. It has only the camera hanged on a grey support with nothing to adjust.

I did and they are fine. Do you mean the black wires? if so, they are fine, nothing is loose.

Hi Mike,

The gimbal should be set to 'follow' mode as previously suggested. You said it was not in follow mode, as such the gimbal was effectively locked in position (First Person View mode) and would show any aircraft movement adjusting for wind and turning in the video. In follow mode the gimbal will automatically smooth out any aircraft movement giving you an almost rock steady video.
