do the App's icons look grayed out? try this: https://www.tenorshare.com/ios-11/how-to-fix-iphone-apps-greyed-out-after-ios-11-update.html
If you have uploaded your flights to the cloud, you will not lose anything, just remember to check your settings in the App. You may lose the cache, though. But if the app won't start, you have lost anyway... so I would try.
This is not right. Even if the iOS had not been updated, the app should have still worked. If you we aware that the app fails without upgrading the IOS, notification would have been nice.
I had the same problems as reported above The App just kept crashing and I was not able to fly or record video. Wasted opportunity.

How would you like DJI to notify you?
They put this at the top of the forum nearly a month ago. https://forum.dji.com/thread-123736-1-1.html
I guess I missed the post in that forum. Thank you for letting me know. But it is an expectation that all users read the support forum prior to each planned flight?
I think that anything that can stop a product from operating completely should be communicated in the user notification/reminder area of the app. After all, all users are required to be signed in to the app prior to flight
As a follow up, I did update my iOS last night and the app is functional know.
