Hi Guys,

I need your help. Where can i buy a replacement antenna for my transmitter?

It snapped into two when I accidentally dropped the transmitter. The transmitter is working fine its just the antenna that needs replacement.

I cannot afford to buy an entire new transmitter and besides mine is working fine.

I tried searching for spares but to no availability.

Was also wondering if i can replace it with some router antennas that are available on the market for 2.4ghz?

You didn't say which controller or which P3 you had.  So it depends.  The P3 advanced and pro use 2.4ghz control.  The P3S uses 5.8ghz control signal.  In either case,  yes you can do a mod to install a connector and use an external screw on type antenna.

I have a P3A.

If it was me I would get one of the long range antenna setups like the one made by DBS. Even if you will never go out that far at least you will have excellent reception.

     Sorry to hear about your antennae problem.  Hope you are able to get a replacement.  I will keep my eyes open and let you know if I learn something.

     I am curious about the unusual shape of the antennae and what is inside.  As you noted, you cannot just go out and buy a P3 antennae.  Can you describe or post a photo of what is inside the antennae?  I have tried to see which antennae has the P3 flight control and which antennae handles the downlink.  But, my results seem to indicate that both antenna have both transmitter and downlink inside.  That would explain why the antennae is shaped that way.

     Good luck with your antennae!  I will keep looking.

I did some research and someone has already done a mod such as this see the thread below http://forum.dji.com/thread-31284-1-1.html

I ordered some connectors and hopefully will be able to mimc what he has done.

you also could upgrade your antenna to the more powerful one. but it might take some time and money
