Dear Creator,

DJI is excited to announce the Inspire 1 1345LS Quick Release Propeller Mounting Plates. Sharing a similar design to that of the Inspire 2 1550T mounting plates, the new Quick Release plates are safer, more durable, and reduce the risks of propeller loss.

The 1345LS Quick Release Propeller Mounting Plates are compatible with the Inspire 1 1345T and 1360T Quick-Release Propellers. The U.S. retail price of the 1345LS Quick Release Propeller Mounting Plates is $15. Customers who order before April 1, 2017 can enjoy an introductory price of US$7.

Following this new release, the 1345T Quick Release Propeller Mounting Plates will be discontinued.

Please note: Above mentioned pricing is for the United States only. For pricing in other regions or countries, please refer to the DJI Online Store.

Note: Use loctite 243 adhesive (not included in the package) to lock the screws. Otherwise the screws may loosen after long term usage.

The image on the dji store shows 2 mounting plates in the same photo, but the name of the item is singular. Is this price for a pair (CW and CCW) or just for one?

Excellent questions. Is this for the Inspire v2? Is it recommended that v2 owners swap out the factory plates to improve safety (order 2 sets)? The description seems to indicate that they work with the current props.

Thanks Mindy,
Looks like the new hubs will be a welcomed advancement for the Inspire 1 series. I am assuming the props will work the same as before because the announcement did not say anything about reusing the props.

Thanks

II just ordered 2 sets, I am due for new locks. I have a spare set of 1345T locks, but want to try these out. I can always use my reserve set if I don't like these, but they look impressive.

I agree and they look like a very nice improvement. I am due to change my hubs out on my Inspire 1 V2.  So might as well get these.  I have had great success with the original hubs and never had any trouble with them either.

Hi Mindy,

How many of these do I get for my 7 US dollars? 1, 2 or 4?
Please tell me 4 as 1 or 2 is of no use at all.

I asked the same question of a UK dealer. The price is great but shipping from the DJI store is £10/$12 which kinda sours the cost.

My dealer said they *would* be stocking them - just wasn't sure when..

Hi Mark

I believe you get one pair  (2 sets CCW, CW) for $7  So you would need 2 ($14) to outfit one Inspire 1 aircraft.

I have ordered my 4 (sets of 2)  to give me spares

Official DJI tutorial video about installing the Inspire 1 1345LS mounting plates:

It seems the props when mounted on 1345LS mounting plates will be a few millimetres higher than the same when mounted on 1345T mounting plates. Will the aerodynamics of the Inspire be changed?

Although the 1345LS mounting mechansim looks like the same with the mounting mechansim of the Inspire 2, there is no slotted keys between the 1345T propeller and the 1345LS propeller mount. You can see the same amount of play at the end of the video @ 1:45 to 1:50 when comparing with the amount of play with the 1345T mounting system. So eventually, the problem of premature props wearing out will still be encountered. It would have been better for DJI to release props of new design with slotted keys similar to the Inspire 2 props when releasing this 1345LS mounting brackets for the Inspire 1!

Slotted keys of Inspire 2 props:-

Guess it will be awhile before I get to test drive them.
Got an email this morning from DJI: "Due to unprecedented demand, your order will likely ship within the month of March, 2017. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by this delay."

Thanks for sharing the video and information Henry. The new system looks to be a much better mechanical locking method. I see the slight play in the hub but I like the way the base locks with the buckles.

Looks like DJI will be backordering my parts too.  Oh well, we will just wait in line with everyone else

It should be liquid thread locker e.g. Loctite or other brand.

In Chinese Cantonese, we call it Loh Man Sor Gu Gaau "thread locking adhesive" or Loh Si Gaau "screw adhesive". So it may have been translated plainly in the video without proper referring to technical terms during translation.

I looks like your other post was sent via the iPhone mobile device. This might be the reason it was shielded ?/?

Here we go again with the thread-locker type. When the 1345T hubs came out DJI recommended a good quality thread locker and I used Loctite 243 (blue) and it has never failed me.

Hope this helps others

You know....... glue and mounting screws seem like a good idea at first.  But what happens if you need to change out these mounting plates later on and the screws strip out due to the glue?  Or what if the glue damages the threads?  Those look like machined screen holes, which would be a nightmare to fix (or replacement motors) if something went wrong with the glue.

Hi Gabe
The term glue is misused in this case. Thread locker will allow disassembly later but offers extremely strong adhesion. You do not want the prop hubs coming off!   Loctite can be removed using some heat applied with a hot air gun (if stubborn)  and hot air will not damage the motor surface if this is needed to remove them.

So, no worries....

PS, I used this for my Inspire 1 V1 when upgrading to each new prop hub offered along the way. I had no problems removing the thread locker at all.

All the best

I wonder if DJI is willing to accept the damage they caused if some of the customers really did use glue........  however, I suppose it wont' be a problem until they try to change out the mounting plates.

I put the 1345T hubs and props on my I1 V1, so yes this will work on your I1 V1 also..

Same motor mounting design, you will like the new style hubs and props especially coming from the spin-on props.

Hey Guys - Just received two orders of 1345LS mounting plates, and the plastic hubs are broken...I'm more than a bit concerned that these are supposed to keep my props on, but they broke during shipping?  They seem a bit brittle to me:
